Philosophy Statement

Philosophy on Education Administration
Time is consistantly an issue with administrators. In the interest of time I have condensed my philosophy down to a list.
  • Flexibility
You can compromise to achieve a decision without compromising yourself.

  • Clear communication
    • We are what we do, not what we say.
    • Listen.

  • Decisive decision making
    • Ends ARE the means. Respect must be part of the process.
    • Consistency is important.

  • Creative
    What gets rewarded gets repeated.

  • Innovative
    • Sometimes the "new" way is the better way.
    • Value your own contribution.

  • Visible and accessible leadership
    • Leadership is about action, not position.
    • Students, faculty, staff as well as other stakeholders must understand the vision and the expectations placed on them.
    • When placed in charge, take charge.

  • Solid individual
Understanding my strengths is as important as knowing any weaknesses.

  • Vision
I know where I want to lead.

  • Sense of Humor
Sometimes the best thing to do is just laugh!!

As a teacher my focus is enabling students to reach their potential
As an administrator and instructional leader, my focus will be to enable
staff - teachers, support staff, etc. to reach their highest potential in
enabling students.
